Lunch Club Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the Lunch Club! To ensure an enjoyable experience for all our guests, please take a moment to read through our Terms and Conditions. By booking and attending our Lunch Club, you agree to abide by these terms.

First and foremost, all alcohol service is subject to New Zealand liquor licensing laws, our licence conditions, and The Loft Bar’s host responsibility obligations. These requirements take priority over all advertised package inclusions.

1. Bookings and Inclusions

Payment is required on arrival.

Packages: We offer two Lunch Club packages:

  • Non-Alcoholic Lunch Club: Priced at $49 per person. This includes our complete Lunch Club food offering and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Alcoholic Lunch Club: Priced at $69 per person. This includes our complete Lunch Club food offering, Prosecco on arrival, followed by a revolving tapped cocktail then a Margarita and Espresso Martini.

Food Offering (Both Packages): Breads and dips will be served on arrival, followed by a selection of our small plates. Pizzas and fries will then be circulated and offered to your table throughout the remainder of your 2-hour seating.

Our food service is generous but managed and does not represent an unlimited or all-you-can-eat offering. Menu items may vary depending on availability. We will do our best to accommodate dietary requirements notified at the time of booking.

2. Duration and Seating

Time Limit: Each Lunch Club booking is for a 2-hour seating period. This time limit applies to all food and beverage service. The 2-hour period begins at the confirmed booking time.

We kindly ask that you arrive on time to make the most of your experience.

Late Arrivals: If you are running late, please notify us as soon as possible. While we will do our best to accommodate late arrivals, your seating and service time may be reduced. We cannot guarantee an extension beyond the original booking time.

Seating Area: Lunch Club bookings are seated exclusively within our designated raised dining area on the mezzanine level. Seating is restricted to one side of the venue, and Lunch Club guests will not be seated on the Sports Hall side. Table locations are allocated by The Loft Bar, and requests for alternative seating areas cannot be guaranteed.

3. Beverage Service

Non-Alcoholic Lunch Club: Guests can enjoy a selection of mocktails, juices, coffee, and soft drinks during the 2-hour seating period. Beverage service is managed by our staff and subject to fair and reasonable consumption.

Alcoholic Lunch Club:

  • Prosecco on Arrival: Prosecco will be served on arrival before the tapped cocktail rotation begins.
  • Prosecco Limit: Prosecco is capped at a maximum of half a standard 750 mL bottle per person, equivalent to 375 mL per guest. This is a maximum allowance and does not guarantee that the full amount will be served.
  • Tapped Cocktail Rotation: Following the Prosecco service, tapped Margaritas and Espresso Martinis will be served on a rotating basis.
  • Managed Service: Cocktails will be served one at a time. The order, frequency, and volume of service will be managed by our staff.

The Lunch Club is not a bottomless or unlimited alcohol offering. All beverage service remains subject to host responsibility requirements, guest behaviour, and the discretion of our team.

The Prosecco allowance and cocktail service cannot be transferred between guests, exchanged for cash, carried over to another booking, or substituted for other products.

4. Responsible Service of Alcohol, Staff Discretion and Fair Use

The Loft Bar is a licensed venue and is committed to the responsible service of alcohol in accordance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and all applicable New Zealand liquor licensing requirements.

Compliance with liquor laws and the safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff will always take priority over the inclusions of the Lunch Club package.

Staff Discretion: Our team is trained in responsible service practices and is authorised to slow, pause, or cease alcohol service to any individual or table at any time. Staff decisions regarding alcohol service are final.

This discretion may be exercised to:

  • Prevent intoxication.
  • Refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated or is behaving in a disorderly, disruptive, offensive, or disrespectful manner.
  • Refuse service where there is concern that alcohol may be supplied to a minor or an intoxicated person.
  • Manage the pace and overall consumption of alcohol.
  • Maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests and staff.

Identification: Valid photo identification must be presented upon request. Accepted identification includes a current New Zealand driver licence, a current passport, a Kiwi Access Card, or a Hospitality New Zealand 18+ Card. Failure to provide acceptable identification may result in alcohol service being refused.

No Refunds: No full or partial refunds will be provided where alcohol service is slowed, paused, or refused due to intoxication, inappropriate behaviour, failure to provide acceptable identification, or any breach of these Terms and Conditions.

No refund or credit will be provided where a guest does not consume the maximum Prosecco allowance or participate fully in the tapped cocktail rotation.
